The llama antibodies, called single domain antibodies (sdAb) are molecularly flexible, unlike conventional antibodies, ScienceDaily reported. BoNTs directly hit the nervous system, resulting in paralysis that can be so severe as to require life support on a mechanical ventilator for weeks to months.
